Mouse without Borders

A long time Synergy user, I recently came across “Mouse Without Borders” – and I have to say I’m very impressed. Basically it is software that shares a single keyboard and mouse, between two (or more) physical computer screens.

Don’t know where I’d be without it!

Running multiple virtual systems, means I have loads of screens to juggle, when switching between guest operating systems.

There simply isn’t room for 20 monitors!

But for the monitors you do have, the solution is to use Remote Desktop Manager from Devolutions Software – a fantastic piece of kit, allied to Mouse Without Borders for total command of the screen real-estate.

MWB, like Synergy, lets you just slide your mouse pointer off the left edge of one monitor – whereupon it appears on the right edge of the other monitor – now your keyboard and mouse control that machine instead. Yes, I know there are downsides to these sort of apps – like disappearing off the edge of the screen you intended to work on – but if you can live with that, it becomes very difficult to live without.
